As you can tell from his accent, Kevin is not from Scotland. He was born in Harwinton, CT in the United States where he began working with animals with his family. He started his career towards Veterinary Medicine by working in the kennels of his local veterinary clinic in Harwinton.
He graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science majoring in Animal Science. Next he received a Masters of Science in Animal Science from the University of Nebraska. Finally in 2007, he achieved his ambition and received a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Cornell University. After graduating, Kevin completed a year in a rotating internship programme at Ocean State Veterinary Specialists in Rhode Island, focusing on Internal Medicine, Surgery, Emergency Medicine and Critical Care.
From 2008 – 2010 he held the position of an Emergency Doctor at the Veterinary Medical Centre of Central New York, East Syracuse, New York.
Kevin joined us here at ‘Ayrton’ in 2010 following a move to Scotland with his wife, who is currently studying Veterinary Medicine at the University of Glasgow.
Outside of work, Kevin spends much of his time riding his bicycle, running and hiking in the countryside, exploring all that Scotland has to offer.
